Marcos Vinicius Passarelli Prado is a partner of the tax litigation practice group.
He has more than 25 years of experience in assisting his clients with the most diverse disputes both at the administrative and judicial levels, acting constantly and closely to the several administrative and judicial courts, including the higher Brazilian courts.
Marcos has also significant experience in customs matters, including the related disputes.
Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B.) from Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Sao Paulo (PUC/SP). Postgraduate Degree in Tax Law from Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Sao Paulo (PUC/SP). Marcos was an assistant professor in Tax Law both at the graduation and post-graduation courses of the Pontificia Universidade Catolica de São Paulo (PUC/SP).
Marcos was an assistant for the 4th Chamber of Ethics and Discipline of the Brazilian Bar Association (Sao Paulo chapter) for years 2008 to 2012. He is also a member of the Tax and Constitutional Law Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association and of the Tax Research Institute (IPT).
Marcos has been recognized by the International Tax Review as a leading lawyer in tax litigation and indirect taxes.
The Legal 500 also recommends Marcos in Tax Law.
In 2020, he was indicated as one of the most admired lawyers in Brazil by Analise Advocacia.
In 2022, he was acknowledged by Chambers & Partners in tax litigation.
